Spotting Great Internet Marketing Videos

Everybody wants to learn about how to achieve better marketing online, and one great way to do that is with internet marketing videos, but let’s be honest… For every good internet marketing course out there, there are dozens of people who really have no idea what they’re talking about, and who just want to make a quick buck on desperate web entrepreneurs. So when you’re browsing the previews and looking to see which one you should check out, what do you look for?
Finding the good marketing videos out there can be easy, but there are a few points that are pretty much requisite. In the end, you want to go with your instincts, and even if one of the qualities below is lacking, they still might have the education you need. But, if a video doesn’t hit ANY of these points, then you’re better off looking elsewhere. Still, everyone learns in their own way, so if a video just hits you in the right way, give them a chance.
Professional Quality Recording
It doesn’t have to be high definition because, after all, you’re learning, not watching a Hollywood movie. But, if it was shot on VHS and it looks like garbage, then it probably IS garbage. Editing is even more important. Most of these videos are of seminars, and the ones that are of seminars should just be boiled down to what you need to watch. At a real seminar, you get moments where the guy comes in and says “Someone with a blue Chevy, you left your headlights on!” So, good video, good editing. It shows pride in the product.
Not Just Some Screenshots…
A lot of these videos are just screenshots. This, again, simply shows a lack of pride in the product. True, it’s not supposed to be a big budget Hollywood movie, but if it looks like they just plain didn’t care, then… Guess what? They just plain didn’t care. You need to look for some degree of professionalism, some pride they actually took in the product that shows that they’re not just trying to make a quick buck off of your ambition.
Seminar Footage
You want more than just seminar footage, but you do want seminar footage. Some people who teach internet marketing, they just sell DVDs as essentially an advertisement for the seminars. The better ones will just plain give you the seminar in the video. Again, there are a lot of scams out there, so look for someone who actually shows you what they deliver at the seminars, not just a preview of what you COULD be learning if you wanted to drive halfway across the country to attend a seminar in person.
Good Advice!
If you don’t see any good, practical, sensible advice being offered, then skip it. If there’s any murkiness, double talk, if there’s anything in there that doesn’t make sense, then you might just be getting roped into a Ponzi scheme or something. If it doesn’t make good, clear sense, then they probably don’t have anything useful to say to entrepreneurs trying to make it on their own terms.
